PTF CC SNe host galaxy absolute i-band magnitudes are plotted against host galaxy stellar masses. Due to the standard deviation of the residuals being 0.4, which is comparable to the uncertainty on the stellar mass, the i-band magnitude can be used as a proxy for the stellar mass in our analysis.
