Evolution of the SFR (top) and total stellar mass (bottom). As the halo cools, stars start to appear as conditions for their formation are met. Over the course of 100 Myr, the SFR steadily stays above 10 M⊙ yr−1, allowing the galaxy to reach M* = 109 M⊙ within 160 Myr.
