Sgr A East compresses the M50 cloud. Sgr A* lies at the center of the young nuclear cluster, which generates a strong wind that is quasi-spherical at large distances. The position of the dust cloud hypothesized to coincide with the site of the explosion is indicated. CND stands for the circumnuclear disk.
