The second row shows the distribution for the ratio ; ∆ is the difference between this ratio and the desired value of 1.38. The bottom row shows the distribution of the angle ϕ between the main axis of the structure and the x-coordinate (i.e. the Galactic plane), the desired value is 0° or 180°. These quantities enter the fitness function directly. Values of fitness for different quantities are artificially offset.
