Joint fitting of the spectra of NGC 788 extracted in two ways. The pn spectrum that is directly extracted in a standard way from event files, which has the full resolution, is shown in black, and the MOS spectrum extracted from aperture photometry in ten bins is shown in red. Together with the 10-bin pn spectrum and full-solution MOS spectrum, they are simultaneously fit to our source plus background model.
