Density-temperature diagram summarizing how the various methods are used to construct the Chabrier et al. (2019) hydrogen EOS relevant to astrophysical applications. Shown are the density functional theory results of Caillabet et al. (2011; DFT-MD); the path integral Monte Carlo calculations of Militzer & Ceperley (2000; PIMC); the dense plasma model of Chabrier & Potekhin (1998; CP); and the chemical model of Saumon et al. (1995; SCVH). A pressure-temperature version of the diagram can be found in Chabrier et al. (2019).
