Theoretical (solid line) and simulated (data points) polarization-degree light curves for the case of the magnetic reconnection model. The simulated data are from a run with Flmax = 10−9 erg s−1 cm−2 and tbin = 10 ks. We show that the PCUBE method (PC, blue triangles) and the spectropolarimetric fits (SP, green dots) returns consistent results.
