Observed hardness ratio HR1 with 1σ uncertainties vs the Gaia G – RP colour for the stars in our sample. The median hardness ratio, corresponding to a coronal temperature of about 0.3 keV, is depicted by the dashed line. The quite blue star to the left is the Herbig Be star HD 100546, a known X-ray emitter (Skinner & Güdel 2020).
