Flares in γ-ray produced by reaccelerating episodes in blobs which have the same initial parameters but different expansion velocities; these are given in units of c in a logarithmic scale. All flaring parameters (see Eq. (21)) are the same. As the velocity increases, the symmetry of the flare breaks as the decay time becomes progressively longer than the rise time producing an extended flare.
