Colour-coded elliptical rings in steps of 0.5 kpc ranging from 0 to 3.5 kpc defined in the source plane image of the Cosmic Snake. The small ellipse is the size of the source plane reconstruction of the Cosmic Snake galaxy in the image plane. It is at the position where we would see it if it were not lensed. These elliptical rings are then projected over the Cosmic Snake arc in the image plane, on the right.
