Azimuthally averaged polarized emission of transitions of HCN and CO from a face-on axisymmetric disk of mass 10 MJ. We plotted the J = 3 → 2 and J = 2 → 1 transitions of CO and the J = 4 → 3 and J = 3 → 2 transitions of HCN. We assumed a source of distance 60 pc and a beam size (FWHM) of 0.7′′ × 0.7′′. The polarized emission was computed for a toroidal magnetic field configuration. We also plotted the total emission divided by 1000 associated with each transition in a dotted line of the same color to represent the (current) ALMA sensitivity limit of the detectability of linear polarization. We also added a dotted line, representing 1× and 3× a typical ALMA sensitivity of 1.3 mJy.
