Scaling of the gravito-inertial wave flux Fz, normalised by the gravity wave flux for the non-rotating case F0, when excited by columnar convection at the equator for waves. The stiffness adopted in the theory by Augustson et al. (2020), defined as the ratio of the buoyancy frequency to the convective overturning frequency (S = NR/N0 in their notation) is approximated here by Nmax/2νrot from Fig. 1 and taken to be (a) 103 for the SPB stars (left panel), (b) 104 for the γ Dor stars (right panel) as found from Fig. 5. The vertical dashed line denotes the transition between subinertial and superinertial regime placed at a convective Rossby number of above which the waves decay as indicated by the orange curve. The horizontal line denotes unity.
