Table 1.

Linear estimator measurements of dipole amplitude (d) and dipole declination (Decd) for 100 simulated maps containing 106 sources (for the full sky) and an observer velocity of v = 1200 km s−1 towards RA = 180 deg and , the source count of the simulated sources behaves as n(> S) ∝ Sx with x = 1 and the spectral index of the sources is α = 0.75, leading to an expected dipole amplitude of d = 1.5 × 10−2.

Mask type Measured d Measured Decd
(deg) (×10−2) (deg)
Caps −40 1.565 ± 0.017 −14.95 ± 0.44
Ring −40 2.016 ± 0.026 −74.60 ± 0.38
Caps −10 1.917 ± 0.024 −3.21 ± 0.38
Ring −10 0.915 ± 0.018 −35.84 ± 1.30

Notes. Masking sources within −40 deg < δ < +40 deg for the ring type mask and with either δ > 40 deg or δ < −40 deg for the caps type mask.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
