2D histogram of the u − r colour and stellar mass of isolated KiDS-bright galaxies. We divide our galaxies into canonically early- and late-type galaxies, based on either Sérsic index n or u − r magnitude. When dividing by Sérsic index, we define bulge-dominated (early-type) galaxies as those with n > 2 and disc-dominated (late-type) galaxies as those with n < 2 (red and blue points). When dividing colour we define red (early-type) galaxies as those with mu − mr > 2.5 and blue (late-type) galaxies as those with mu − mr < 2.5 (above and below the dashed horizontal line).

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
