Temporal evolution of the quiet-Sun EUV bursts. The time series of four EUV bursts detected in the 2011 dataset are plotted. The light curves show the plasma emission as a function of time at a given spatial pixel over a 30-min period in that dataset (black shows 171 Å, and red represents 193 Å). The spatial location of the respective light curve is outlined by a green box in the corresponding panel in Fig. 7. The solar X and Y coordinates in arcsec are also quoted. The solid vertical line identifies the peak of the 171 Å light curve, and the two dotted vertical lines mark the duration of the burst. See Sect. 3.2 for details.
