Massive star candidates are color coded in blue (BSGs), yellow (YSGs), and red (RSGs), with dark and light colors indicating targets from the LMC and SMC, respectively. There is a prominent difference at the bright red end (RSG population) of the optical and NIR CMDs; this is illustrated by LMC targets which are shown in a redder color than the SMC ones. Meanwhile, this trend is reversed in the MIRAC2 versus IRAC1 – IRAC2 diagram with the LMC targets in a bluer color.
