Best-fitting parameters of the density variations.
|αν ( × 104)||hza||βν ( × 103)||hzb||hR|
|(star kpc−3)||(kpc)||(star kpc−3)||(kpc)||(kpc)|
Notes. Parameters from Eq. (2) derived from the MCMC method for two sets of volumes: the five in the north and the five in the south. The parameters αν and βν are the normalisation factors such that the density of stars at zero height and solar radius is ν(R0, 0) = αν + βν. The parameters hza and hzb are the scale heights and hR is the scale length.
Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.
Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
