The circles on the images, with R = 25″ and 90″, correspond to the extraction regions for the spectral analysis. The overall shape of the X-ray emission follows the ellipticity of NGC 4104. We note that the two brightest galaxies on the stellar envelope to the southwest, SDSS J120633.94 and SDSS J120630.86, are themselves X-ray sources.
