Empirical distributions for the 100 × 143 GHz EE cross-spectra, for every multipole up to ℓ = 31. The distributions in blue are derived from 300 noise-plus-systematics simulations, combined with 1000 signal realizations with τ = 0.05. The power actually observed in HFI data is indicated by the red lines, showing that, at large scales, these data are well described by the end-to-end simulations. Equally consistent plots for BB, TE, TB, and EB, as well as all the corresponding PTEs, are given in Planck Collaboration III (2020).
