2D symmetric disc images for simulations where the maximum particle size was limited to 100 μm. For the sake of easy comparison purposes, images of the same simulations but without the maximum limit on the particle size are added on top of the images at 1 Myr. With smaller particle sizes, it becomes harder to trigger planetesimal formation; the result is that more dust and pebbles remain in the rings at the end of the simulation.
