Radial distribution of the number of HII regions of luminosity L(Hα) > 1037 erg s−1 in units of effective radii for massive- (Mstar > 109.5 M⊙ – left panel), intermediate- (108 < Mstar ≤ 109.5 M⊙ – middle panel), and low-mass galaxies (106.5 < Mstar ≤ 108 M⊙ – right panel). The blue and red values give the numbers of HII regions used to construct the histograms for HI-normal (HI-def ≤ 0.5) and HI-deficient galaxies (HI-def > 0.5), respectively.
