Notes. The retardances of the derotator and HWP (𝛥der and 𝛥HWP, respectively) cause the strongest instrumental polarization effects (i.e., crosstalk) and are indicated in red. The polarizer diattenuations d correspond to extinction ratios (computed as (1 + d)/(1 − d)) of 100:1, 189:1, 447:1, and 126:1 in the Y-, J-, H-, and Ks-band, respectively.
