Same as figure Fig. 8 but for the reset model (panel a) of carbon excess with a constant net advection speed of 6.32 AU Myr−1 as prescribed by hydrodynamic disk models. As such, some planets reach a region of the disk at which the excess carbon remains in the gas phase in time to incorporate it into its atmosphere. For the ongoing model (panel b) the net flux of the excess carbon is zero, which keeps a high carbon abundance. As such most of the planets reach a region of the disk at which the carbon is enhanced owing to the ongoing processing of dust grains.
