Although the exoplanet cross-correlation signal is detected even without removing the stellar spectrum, it is confused in the strong stellar residuals (left panel). Conversely, after removal of the stellar spectrum, the planetary signal is the only unambiguous signature detected, and all three nights co-add constructively as expected.
