Synthetic soft X-ray (0.3–2 keV) emission maps of the simulated nebula (unabsorbed). Both images have coordinates in parsecs relative to the position of the star (black cross), and the scale is in erg cm−2 s−1 arcsec−2. Both images are generated from the 1b simulation, after 0.2135 Myr of evolution and are smoothed to the angular resolution of XMM-Newton EPIC cameras (6 arcsec).
