Test on dynamic range: two Gaussian functions with brightness ratio b = 0.1 (left column), b = 0.3 (middle column), and b = 0.5 (right column) are reconstructed by EM and CLEAN, and the results are compared to ground truth. The results for all three statistics levels illustrate the intensity profiles along the axis passing through the source centers, averaged over 10 random data realizations. The corresponding confidence strips are also reproduced.
