The NGCnumbers of the galaxies are shown in red for the SRs, in blue for the FRs, and in green for the FRs with triaxial halos. The open symbols and the black vertical line for NGC0584, 2768, 5866 mark regions that are probably affected by ongoing interactions, and for NGC1023 and NGC3384 the regions affected by the presence of other photometric components, e.g. the bar (see Appendix C). For NGC4594 we excluded the data beyond 350″ where the small ellipticity corresponds to large uncertainties in the PAphot measurements. The horizontal lines report the PAphot (solid line) and ⋴ (dotted line) with values listed in Table 1. The red dot-dashed vertical lines show the kinematic transition range RT ± ΔRT from Sect. 8.6.
