Ecliptic longitude sectors used for presenting HSTOF data. The four sectors shown on the left are used in the recent studies. The forward sector, which includes the inflow direction of the ISM (eliptic longitude 255°), is also called the “apex”, or the “nose sector”. Early work employed two sectors with the extended “forward sector” that also included the flanks (see right side of figure).
