Final sink mass against accretion time (tacc,60 is used) for runs A1++, B1++, C1+, and D1. The solid black lines represent the free-fall time of the mass reservoir derived from the analytical model (see Sect. 5.5.1). The behavior of the distributionand the analytical model are very similar except for short accretion times (corresponding to mass ≲0.1 M), where the physics to be considered is different. This strongly suggests that the mass that built the stars essentially comes from a preexisting deterministic reservoir.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
