The temperature of grains located on the lower (number 1 and location Y) and upper (number 40 and location X) boundary is set to T0 + ΔT/ 2 and T0−ΔT/ 2, respectively. The temperature of each grain is calculated by solving Eq. (1) simultaneously for each grain.
