Colours represent the input luminosity of the fake LAEs, dark lines reinforced in black show the recovery of extended objects, and pale lines show point sources of the same total luminosity. In the lower panel of each plot the night sky is shown, and areas where sky lines most severely affect our recovery are highlighted in pink.
