View of a slice through the 3D dust solutions for the sub-solar longitude of 140° for different dust size radii, starting from 1.6E− 8 to 1.6E− 4 m. The plane shown is normal to the terminator plane. The direction of the Sun is in the plane shown; the rotation axis of the comet comes out of the plane but has the same projected direction as the Sun direction in this view. All results assume the gas solution of the cliffs + Hapi model as an input for the dust model. The top row shows the logarithmic relative dust number density for each dust size. To convert to absolute units of log (m-3) the corresponding value needs to be added. For each dust size, a dust to gas ratio of unity was assumed for these plots. The centre row shows the relative dust speeds of each dust size. For the absolute values the corresponding values need to be multiplied by the given scaling. The bottom row shows the fraction of the dust velocity that is in the direction of the Sun with 100% being sunward and − 100% anti sunward. Also the fraction of ballistic particles is given. The 3D shape of the comet is also displayed.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
