Panel a: 82 GHz continuum emission obtained with IRAM NOEMA towards OMC-2 FIR4. The first contour level is at 1.8 × 10-3 Jy beam-1, corresponding to the 3σ rms level of the map, and the others are 2, 3, 5, 8, and 10 times the 3σ rms level. Finally, in panels c and f, the red and white contours correspond to the emitting region of HC3N towards FIR4 with high and low HC5N emission, respectively. From these contours, we have extracted the spectra discussed in Sect. 4. The blue contour indicates FIR5 as detected in the total integrated map of HC5N (panel f).
