MIR images of Saturn’s rings on January 23, 2008 (UT) as seen by COMICS mounted on the Subaru Telescope. 8.8 μm (top left), 9.7 μm (top middle), 10.5 μm (top right), 11.7 μm (middle left), 12.5 μm (middle middle), 17.7 μm (middle right), 18.8 μm (bottom left, shown with annotations of the rings’ names), 20.5 μm (bottom middle), 24.5 μm (bottom right), all of which are shown in linear scale. North is up, and east is to the left. The field of view is 47″ × 26′′.
