Final He-shell masses of all simulated systems over M1/M2. Gray squares indicate systems that do not experience detonation during their evolution. Colored points indicate systems that do produce a detonation and their initial period. It is evident that detonation seems to be excluded for small values of M1/M2 (hatched area). The exclusion is due to the decreasing gradient of the detonation line with decreasing Ṁ, while lower mass WDs need to accumulate a larger mass of helium in general.
