A mistake in the Matlab script generating the figure for the cooling rates means that the displayed curve for emission of infrared photons by C60 was incorrect in Fig. 2 of our original paper. The correct figure is presented in Fig. 1 of this corrigendum. The cooling rates originally used in our model were the correct ones, so that the results of our paper and its conclusions remain unchanged.
