Distribution of cm-sized particles at different time steps (50, 60, 70, 80 orbital times) at the ring’s inner edge for the massive cores case. The evolution of two vortices in a frame co-moving with the disk at 1.3 au is shown. The vortex centre orbits the central star with a velocity close to the background Keplerian speed, which promotes particle trapping inside the vortex.
