Critical semi-major axis ac for each star in the XO-2 binary system, defined as the maximum distance that a single planet, on initially circular orbits, could have from its parent star to survive after 10 000 binary orbits (thick line). The thin line represents a simple estimate of ac when one of the stars hosts more than one planet. These results are based on the work of Holman & Wiegert (1999).
