Table 6
Observed values of the UV and Hα emissions and the stellar and nebular extinctions of the integrated source IRAS 0833 (STB) and its central stellar cluster (SSC) with the predicted stellar mass for each of them.
Name | Region | E(B − V) ∗ | E(B − V) neb | F1529 | L1500a | L(Hα) a | M |
(erg s-1 cm-2 Å-1) | (erg s-1 Å-1) | (erg s-1) | (M⊙) | ||||

STB | Integrated source | 0.15 | 0.06 | 4.5 × 10-14 | 3.0 × 1041 | 1.2 × 1042 | 1.4 × 108 |
SSC | Central stellar cluster | 0.01 | 0.11 | 8.5 × 10-15 | 1.5 × 1040 | 1.3 × 1041 | 7.0 × 106 |

Ratio (SSC/STB) | − | − | − | 20% | 5% | 10% | 5% |
Notes. The Galactic extinction effect has been removed from the E(B − V) values, which thus strictly correspond to the intrinsic extinction within the source. The mass of the central region SSC was obtained from the UV intrinsic luminosity. Ratios between values for each region are also shown.
