Mass loss of the Jovian impactor in our simulation in terms of the object’s initial mass, 1287 Tn. After the initial breakup of the object at about 120 km altitude, the rate at which debris is shredding off of the impactor is nearly constant with a value of 78.4 Tn km-1.
