[Na/Fe] abundance ratios as a function of [Fe/H] for the 14 samples selected from the literature. The code-labels are listed in Table 1. The [Na/Fe] and [Fe/H] values are those of the original papers. The leftmost and rightmost dotted lines indicate the metallicity range of the bulk of GCs in the FLAMES survey (see e.g. Carretta et al. 2009a,b). The line at [Fe/H] = −1.56 dex shows the metallicity of NGC 6752, our test case.
