Notes. The columns list in order: core radius (R) and mass (M), mass accretion rate (Ṁ), accretion luminosity (Lacc) and radiated luminosity (Lrad) at the core border; Tfc is the temperature at the first core border, while Tc is the temperature at the centre of the second core; Sc represents the entropy at the centre of the system when ρc = 10-8 g cm-3 in the case of the first core, and at the end of the simulation for the second core. Column 9 represents the upstream Mach number of the flow at the accretion shock; tfc is the lifetime of the first core, while the time given in the last column of the second core sub-table is the characteristic timescale of the second core (see text).
