Mean longitudinal field strengths determined from inverting the different lines (abscissa). A regular decrease of the longitudinal magnetic field is found when ordering the following ions: Fe i 6151.62 Å, Fe i 5250.22 Å, Fe i 6302.50 Å, Cr i 5247.57 Å, Fe i 5250.65, and Fe i 6301.5 Å. The average is taken on a region delimited by magnetic field values from 200 to 1000 G on the map of the line Fe i 6302.50 Å, as indicated in Fig. 6.
