Similar to Fig. 14, but with an ambient medium temperature of 8000 K (simulation C). The instabilities are much smaller. Since the shocked interstellar matter does not cool below 8000 K, the shocked ambient medium layer extends further outward than in Fig. 14. On the other hand, the shocked wind region is more restricted.
