Flux recovery bias. The figure shows for a subset of methods the average recovered Yrec, normalized to the true input Y, as a function of Y. At the bright end, most codes extract an unbiased estimate of cluster flux, while the expected Malmquist bias appears at the faint-end, just below Y ~ 2×10-3 arcmin2.
