Number of close encounters (<10-3 AU) between Vesta family fragments and each of the 11 considered asteroids as a function of the distance in phase space between these asteroids and Vesta. We used the mean values of the semi-major axes, the eccentricities and the inclinations of the 11 asteroids during the 30 Myr of the simulation to compute the distances (see Eq. (7)).
