Evolution in time of the semi-major axis diffusion in S and SE. We plot the standard deviation of the average of the minimum and the maximum values of a for each fragment over 10 kyr steps with respect to the initial values (see Eq. (1)) for asteroids whose semi-major axes are initially between 2.26 and 2.48 AU (to avoid strong resonances).
