The 1612 MHz OH maser map of OH 44.8-2.3 obtained with the VLA. The top-left and bottom-right panels show the blue- and red-shifted peaks. The red-shifted peak exhibits the highest flux density of 8.1 Jy. The contour levels are at 1.62, 3.24, 4.86, 6.48 and 8.1 Jy. The top-right and bottom-left panels exhibit emission summed over several channels close to the stellar velocity. The contour levels are at 0.005, 0.011, 0.016, 0.022, and 0.027 Jy. The star symbol indicates the position of the peak in the red-shifted emission which probably indicates the position of the central star.
