Total column density for the non-turbulent, purely along the line-of-sight run with longer cylinders, Dnon−T, to test the production of both the NW and SE sub-clusters of Serpens. At this stage, sink particles have indeed formed where the collision is happening and in the north-west (within the tilted/longer cylinder). Given the geometry of the collision, the two cylinders do not end up colliding in the north. However, the only perspective where we do not see the cylinders overlap is the one we took for this run, where the line of sight is aligned with the motion of the cylinders. The contour levels are as in Fig. 5.
