Table 5:

Best-fit parameters of the r-2 shell model applied to the continuum spectra of the compact and extended radio components of W9.
Model Component $\dot M$ $M_{\odot}$ yr-1 $R_{\rm i}$ $R_{\rm o}$
    $(\times 10^{-5})$ (AU) (AU)
1 Compact $\rm 8.7^{+0.5}_{-0.2}$ 0 $\rm 5800^{+7200}_{-1200}$
2 Extended $\rm 17.6^{+0.5}_{-0.4}$ $\rm 1100^{+80}_{-90}$ $\infty$
3 Compact $\rm 9.2^{+0.4}_{-0.5}$ 0 $\rm 4000^{+3000}_{-900}$
3 Extended $\rm 33^{+12}_{-5}$ $\rm 4000^{+3000}_{-900}$ $\infty$

Notes. Models 1 and 2 correspond to best-fits of each individual spectra. Model 3 assumes the outer radius of the compact component is equal to the inner radius of the extended component. For each model it is assumed that $T_{\rm e}=10$ kK, $v_\infty=200$ km s-1,Z=0.9$,
\mu=1.5$, $\gamma=0.8$ and the volume filling factor f=1.
